Paint Mines / Calhan – CO
Not going to lie – before this shoot I had been in a bit of a creative rut. As artists, it happens every once and awhile. Things were starting to feel repetitive and I knew I was still putting out good work, but I felt like I wasn’t being creative. I remember driving to this shoot and just feeling so down on myself, thinking I wasn’t going to create anything outstanding.
I sure was wrong.
These two and I had literally such an amazing, creative time. I could tell they trusted me and were down for all my ideas and it was something that made me, as an artist, feel really comfortable + confident about. I was able to slow down and spend time with these two. We stayed and ran around as the light changed and we got all different types of cool scenery and – once all was said and done – I couldn’t be happier with what we created.
It was a breath of fresh air to slow down (sometimes that’s so hard for me this time of year) and actually create something so different and so magical. I’m seriously so thrilled with these pics. I feel like every one I took kept getting better and better. They’re a little different and a little moody and a little fun and I just hope you love them as much as me.
xx
