Derek + Bianca

St. Mary’s Glacier – Idaho Springs, CO

Derek + Bianca, Colorado natives now living in California, were planning a trip to Colorado. Little did Bianca know, Derek had a lot more planned than just a weekend getaway. Derek called me a few weeks back and asked me to photograph him proposing at St. Mary’s Glacier. There was no way I was missing this. 

Fast forward a few weeks – I was hiding out at the glacier waiting for them to hike up. I spotted them, Derek and I made eye contact, and I continued to act as if I was photographing scenery around me. GAME ON. Derek took Bianca over to sit on a rock and enjoy the view, as he proceeded to map out (in story) every big event that molded + made their relationship. He, then, led her over to the side of the glacier, got down on one knee, and made October 27th, 2017 the best day of both of their lives.

These two are some of the best, most loving, incredible people I’ve met. It was such a fun (EXTREMELY cold) adventure. I’m so stoked I got to be a part of it
